IC
Name:  Sthalstyrm Klynlohsyn ("Steel Storm, son of Small Clothes." Is it a keysmash, or a Roegadyn name?)
Canon:  Final Fantasy XIV OC, but he's involved in Lahacred's AU!
Canon Point: Stormblood, right after Castrum Fluminis.
Age:  22
Appearance: Like this
Abilities:  Dragoon  He's very strong, and skilled with a spear in fighting.  As a dragoon, he's surprisingly agile, leaping about and using his spear offensively to take his enemies down. Beyond that, he's very enduring. Also, he has the Echo. His differs a little because he has something called "Dumb Luck"; he's not smart enough to finagle out things, but tends to arrive at a place, time, or conclusion by...dumb luck. This can be messed up any time or be foiled by Fae magic.

(Optional) Personality:
  • Good-hearted -to a fault. Would literally give someone who looked like they needed it more, the shirt and/or jacket off his back.

  • Naive -generally he believes the best of people and may be too trusting, unless forewarned or his 'dumb luck' is in play.

  • Slow to anger -but Twelve help you when you DO get him pissed, because he's a mountain avalanche of sheer fury that is suddenly tumbling down on your arse. Nor is he likely to listen to cooler heads, once he's mad.

  • Honest -he had to be led to deception, and explained to on various occasions by Minfilia Warde, Urianger, and even Tataru that he wasn't lying to hurt people, but to help people. He still doesn't like it, but he'd rather lie by omission than lie outright, if he can help it.

  • Loyal -also to a fault, and he tries very hard to please people when he can. This can make him seem a little weak-willed, though it's not because he lacks any spine.

  • Stubborn -Should probably be underlined. Once Sthalstyrm sets his mind to something, it takes a lot of persuasion to change it. (See how he had to be convinced that his spying wasn't a bad thing...)

  • Dumb -As a post. It's not difficult to pull the wool over his eyes, and he can be gullible. Lahabrea has convinced him that he's Thancred, to "Thancred's" detriment.

...is himbo a personality trait? if so...yes.

    History:  A Realm Reborn
    Heavensward
Stormblood, though he's taken from "Under the Moonlight", here. "Yotsuyu stabs Asahi and ends his mad plot."
As he's not a Warrior of Light, his story diverges from that of the canon hero. Still, as a Scion, his story touches theirs, so there are points in the story where he'd at least be in the background, in theory.

Sthal was born on a pirate ship that sailed the waters of the straits of Merelthor, near the continent of Vylbrand. His father Klynloh was the second mate of the Mad Tide and his mother Opallona the ship's cook. As a young lad he took to being a pirate, leaping up the rigging and down without much thought for things like gravity. Seeking to protect him from the chaos of the piracy coming under the direction of the Maelstrom and the birth of the thalassocracy, Opallona took him to the Black Shroud. Sthal decided to continue learning the harpoon, or more properly, the lance, and ended up joining the Lancer's Guild and training there. Like the true Warrior of Light, he manages to ingratiate himself with the Adventurer's Guild, and finds he, too, possesses the gift of the Echo through a series of adventures (or perhaps *misadventures*).  Considering his lack of intelligence and naivete, he is chosen, instead, to act as a sort of "agent", since while he's not the brightest bulb in the box, he has a good memory and a truly prodigious capability for drinking. He had to be led into deception, but he's managed not to mess it up so far. Probably because no one expects much out of the "strong like bull, dumb like ox, hitch to plow when horse dies" type.

Through sheer dumb luck, he's dispatched elsewhere when Livia sas Junius attacks the Waking Sands, and only manages to return from Ishgard afterwards, being directed towards the Rising Stones in Mor Dhona. He is instructed to return to Ishgard to keep a finger on the whereabouts of Lady Iceheart to the best of his ability. It's not much, but he fits in somewhat in Ishgard, despite his terrible accent--the natives see him as a good-natured idiot wanderer, savvy with a spear but mostly harmless. Since he is not openly acting as a Scion (and has kept his mouth shut about his ties), when the Warrior of Light, Alphinaud, and Tataru enter Ishgard and the latter two are branded heretics, Sthalstyrm escapes scrutiny.
At the time, due to Thancred being missing in action, Urianger directs Sthal to track the movements of an odd band of mercenaries calling them the Warriors of Darkness. In doing so, he inadvertently rescues the Warrior of Light from the machinations of Ardbert, and assists in investigating arson in Isghard, though his role is as more of a consultant.

He wouldn't be directly seen in Stormblood, considering he has been moved into the Garlean provinces to quietly listen in and, if at all possible, foment discord there. Though if he saw Estinien, he'd likely recognize the Elezen. (Though not at all the other way around, even if Sthal is also a Dragoon!)
